Journey through time from Paris to Versailles. You’ll begin in Paris, the city that housed a royal palace where the Louvre museum now stands — until Louis XIV decided to relocate to the outskirts of Paris to build a new palace. That new palace was the fabulous estate of Versailles.
You’ll meet your host near the big church on 91 Bd du Montparnasse, near the train station, and they’ll guide you to your train and accompany you all the way to Versailles. Along the way, your host will share information so you can learn more about the palace you’re about to visit. You can also take advantage of the opportunity to talk with your host — who’s also a local expert — about other things to see and do in Paris.
Once you arrive at Versailles, your host will walk with you to the palace entrance, where you’ll receive your skip-the-line timed entry ticket. Before you enter Versailles, your host will also explain how to return to Paris on your own with your return train ticket. Skip-the-line does not include security, all guests must wait in the security line.
