The Sagrada Família is Barcelona’s iconic landmark — far more than just a church. Visiting on your own, you might miss some of the details, designs, and stories that define this monument. Our expert local guide makes sure you don’t miss a thing, and there’s a lot to take in, thanks to Antoni Gaudí’s creative vision.
Your tour starts with exploring the basilica’s four outer façades. They’re richly carved with symbols and sculptures. Your guide will unravel the meaning behind each one, from the Nativity façade depicting scenes from the birth of Christ to the Passion façade symbolizing the crucifixion.
After you’ve had a chance to thoroughly take in the beauty of what’s outside, we’ll continue indoors. The Sagrada Família is unlike any church you’ve seen before. Marvel at the towering stone forest, the vaulted ceiling, the kaleidoscope of colors created by the stained glass windows. Your guide will share the innovative techniques Gaudí used to bring his vision to life and why they were so revolutionary over 100 years ago — and why they remain so unusual today.
Our tour ends inside this jewel box of a basilica. You can spend longer in this peaceful space if you have the time.
