Learn about New York’s crazy projects, wild failures, and huge successes, all made possible with the latest tech and incredible wealth.
First, we’ll explore a city within a city. Hudson Yards is Manhattan’s unique new real estate project, home to six futuristic residential and office towers, restaurants, bars and a luxury shopping center. As you visit, you’ll learn about this $25 billion neighborhood, the most expensive private real estate development in American history.
Next, we’ll walk part of the High Line, once an industrial artery of New York, now a scenic oasis high above the street. Enjoy art, meadows, flowers, views, and more from this elevated trail.
If you’ve selected the optional upgrades (one or both), you’ll head on your own to those next. First up is Vessel, a 150-foot interactive sculpture of burnished copper and steel, featuring interconnecting flights of stairs. As you climb, you’ll discover new perspectives of the city from dozens of angles and viewpoints.
Next is Edge, the tallest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere, set 1,100 feet (335 meters) in the air and showcasing panoramic views all the way to the Statue of Liberty. Inside, you’ll move through immersive installations that play with light and the skyline, like the shifting lights of Crystal Cave and the mirrored surfaces of Infinite City. Then step outside to see the streets 100 stories below, viewable beneath the glass floor and outward-tilting windows.
