Take a day trip from Paris to Normandy to discover its beautiful and historical treasures. We take care of all the details in this memorable 13-hour excursion. Contemplate the poignant history of D-Day and reflect on the bravery of the Allied Forces on this historic day as you visit some of Normandy’s most famous sites.
Start by meeting your expert tour guide at Musée de l’Homme in Paris. Here, you will board your comfortable, climate-controlled vehicle along with your group. We will drive for about an hour and a half and then have a short break at Bosgouet, where you’ll have the chance to stretch your legs and grab a snack or drink.
We will then continue on towards the Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial at Omaha Beach. You will have the chance to pay homage to the soldiers of the Battle of Normandy at the visitor center. See the permanent exhibition and film that shows the role of the American forces in World War II.
Next, you will have a special opportunity to view the wreath-laying ceremony in the American cemetery, a site of peaceful remembrance. Take time to reflect and honor the service and sacrifice of WWII veterans. Your group may even be chosen to participate in the ceremony!
You will then have time to get lunch at a rest stop on the way to your next location. Next stop: Utah Beach! This westernmost beach used in the events of D-Day was codenamed “Utah” for the special operation. Learn how the United States armed forces stormed the beaches and successfully took “Utah” with relatively few casualties.
After you’ve had time to explore the beach, we will start our journey back to Paris. Take this time to reflect on everything you’ve seen before we arrive back at Place du Trocadero by 8 p.m.
