The Louvre is the world’s largest art museum, but the courtyard and area surrounding it is like a museum of its own — and even larger. We cover it all with this mini walking tour before you enter this grand monument to art.
Your guide will share about the history of this famous museum and how it relates to the many nearby landmarks. Learn about the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel (not to be confused with the arch on the Champs-Élysées), the flower-filled Jardin du Tuileries, the 2-mile Axe Historique, and the Cour Napoleon. And of course, you’ll discover all about the museum itself and its iconic pyramid.
It’s the perfect introduction to your self-guided tour of the Louvre. Each tour guest receives a timed-entry ticket for museum admission, so you make the most of your time here in Paris.
