Dara joined New York Tour1 in 2015 and took her experience to LA. Originally from San Francisco, she lived in LA for over a decade. Dara has traveled all over the world and the U.S. and loves encouraging people to travel whenever they can.

1. What’s your favorite neighborhood in Los Angeles?
Los Feliz hands down! The old brick apartment buildings, access to great bars/restaurants and pedestrian friendly quality give it an NYC vibe. Also, its proximity to Griffith Park is a major bonus!
2. What makes you a real Angeleno?
Understanding that the taco truck scene there is on another level. I don’t mean those follow-me-on-twitter type food trucks, I’m talking lengua tacos from a roach coach at 2 AM in Echo Park.
3. What are the 5 best bars in the city?
The Dresden, Akbar, 4100 Bar, Fox and Hounds, and The Griffin.
4. What’s your favorite part about working at LA & NY Tour1?
I love being surrounded by people with a passion to travel. From the entire staff I work with to the tourists themselves. It is truly rewarding to be a part of a community of people who want to expose themselves to different cultures, flavors and ways of thinking.
5. What’s your fave stop on our tours?
I have so many! But if I have to choose probably the Venice Canals. Not only is it a beautiful location, it really speaks to the history of the area and is relatively unknown so its not super crowded. Check it out on our LA Highlights Tour!
