Visit some of the top attractions along San Francisco's famed waterfront: Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and Sausalito with this special tour and Muir Woods access. Save time and see more. During this 2.5 hour tour you'll learn about the rich history of the area with one of our highly rated guides, all while taking in amazing views. You'll visit iconic landmarks and hear incredible stories about the gold rush, the cable car system, earthquakes and much more.
It is important to arrive at the tour starting location at least 10-15 minutes prior to the start time, as we do start the tour promptly. It would be unfair for the others if we need to wait for those that are late. We cannot guarantee you’ll be able to find your tour group if you are late.

Meet your guide at the northern end of Fisherman's Wharf and start your experience by taking in the amazing views of the bay, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Hear how San Francisco transformed from a sleepy village to a booming port city when gold fever swept the nation in 1849.
Learn about the life of Italian chocolatier, Domenico Ghirardelli, at the famous former chocolate factory in Ghirardelli Square.
Stroll along the fog lined waterfront and drool over the numerous stalls selling crab and clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls.
Walk a portion of the historic Barbary Coast trail while your guide tells you about it's colorful past. We'll make our way to Pier 39, one of the busiest tourist areas in the city, and admire historic ships in the harbor and be awestruck by the colony of sea lions that have taken over many of its docks.
Continue with your guide and take the beautiful ferry ride from SF to Sausalito. Here you'll learn about the towns evolution from a WWII ship hub to a picturesque residential neighborhood and artistic enclave. Filled with amazing restaurants, recreational activities and spectacular views of the SF skyline, Sausalito is a must-do for any visitor to the Bay!
After a leisurely lunch and waterfront stroll along the shops get ready to be impressed by the truly magical experience that is Muir Woods! Learn about how John Muir, one of the first conservationists, donated 300 acres of his land to the government for protection with the help of President Roosevelt. Today Muir Woods is a National Monument that inspires reflection and reverence for these 1000 year old trees.

Depart on any shuttle back to Sausalito and catch the ferry back to Pier 39. On your way back from Sausalito you’ll see the amazing SF skyline. Get those cameras ready for amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and iconic Ferry Building. This is truly and unforgettable experience!
Be prepared for a full day! Total experience lasts from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, inclusive of tour, Muir Woods and roundtrip ferry from SF and back.
