Learn about New York’s crazy projects, wild failures, and huge successes, all made possible with the latest tech and incredible wealth.

First, we’ll explore a city within a city. Hudson Yards is Manhattan’s unique new real estate project, home to six futuristic residential and office towers, restaurants, bars and a luxury shopping center. As you visit, you’ll learn about this $25 billion neighborhood, the most expensive private real estate development in American history. You’ll also see the Vessel sculpture, though its stairs are currently closed, towering above the plaza.

Next, we’ll walk part of the High Line, once an industrial artery of New York, now a scenic oasis high above the street. Enjoy art, meadows, flowers, views, and more from this elevated trail.

If you’ve selected the optional upgrade for Edge, you’ll head there next on your own after getting your ticket from your guide. This sky deck set 1,100 feet in the air boasts views of Central Park all the way to the Statue of Liberty. Its glass floor and glass walls tilted outward show you NYC as you’ve never seen it before.

FAQs

When are the timed entry tickets for Edge?

We coordinate to get timed entry tickets for you to enter the Edge observatory right after your walking tour. However, times may vary slightly due to availability.

What is Vessel?

Vessel is the centerpiece of Hudson Yards. This interactive, 150-foot art installation features interconnecting flights of stairs so you see new angles of New York City with every step. It’s currently closed to climbers but is viewable from the ground level.

What is the Edge observatory?

At 1,100 feet up, Edge has the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. It offers unparalleled views of NYC through its glass floor, where you can look straight down 100 stories, and its tilted outer barrier so you really can lean over the edge of New York. Unique features include a champagne bar and a corner where one person can stand surrounded only by glass and sky.

How much walking is there?

There’s 1-2 miles of walking at a moderate pace. If you’re traveling with a stroller or wheelchair, the High Line and Vessel also have elevator access instead of stairs, but we can’t guarantee the elevators will be working. If mobility is an issue, please arrange for a private tour.

What is the rescheduling policy?

We understand plans change. You can always change your tour 24 hours or more before you tour. We offer a 100% refund up to 24 hours prior to your tour start time. Within 24 hours of your tour, we would have incurred hard costs and therefore cannot allow rescheduling or cancellation without costs.

What if it rains?

This tour runs rain or shine March through December, so please check the local forecast to plan. In rare cases when we have to cancel for extreme weather, we’ll offer you the chance to reschedule or give a full refund.

What about gratuities?

Tips are always appreciated but never expected. They’re a great way to tell your guide they did an awesome job and show your appreciation.
