Explore Chicago’s most iconic street — Michigan Avenue, aka the Magnificent Mile — on a walking tour that blends lakefront views, luxe storefronts, and stunning architecture. We’ll start near Millennium Park with a look at the city’s historic shoreline.

Be dazzled by the Italian-inspired Chicago Cultural Center. Then cross the river into Art Deco and Beaux-Arts landmarks from the Roaring 1920s. Along the way, your guide shares stories of rebuilding, reinvention, and the city’s unique role in shaping modern architecture.

As you stroll the Magnificent Mile, you’ll see the street’s grand facades through a new lens — from the glint of Burberry’s stainless steel exterior to the country’s largest Starbucks. Learn how the Chicago School paved the way for skyscrapers, admire the towering Tribune Tower, and spot everything from luxury flagships to a Harry Potter-themed shop. Just off the main drag, the glamour continues on Rush and Oak streets with high-end brands like Porsche, Aritzia, and Cartier.

The tour wraps up at the base of the former John Hancock Center, where you’ll hear about the building’s design and engineering. If you’ve chosen the upgrade, you’ll head up 1,030 feet to 360 Chicago. Enjoy sweeping views of the skyline and Lake Michigan from the observation deck. It’s the perfect finale to our Chicago architecture tour!

Ben did an outstanding job. Architecture could be a dry subject but he brought fun and made history live. Thanks Ben!
