FAQs

Is this tour on a bus or car?

No way! For the most authentic experience, we travel like New Yorkers. You don’t want to spend your trip caught in traffic. We’ll travel by foot, subway, and ferry so we can see more and do more. To pay the nominal subway fare, you can just tap your contactless bank card or digital wallet. If you don’t have one, your guide can help you purchase an OMNY card at the station.

How much walking is there?

The majority of the day will be on foot since this is a walking tour. However, at some points in the tour you will travel by subway and ferry. This tour includes a few miles of walking at a moderate pace and is not accessible for wheelchairs due to using the subway. If mobility is an issue, please arrange for a private tour.

What do we do for lunch?

There’s a stop to buy lunch with choices for most dietary restrictions. Options may include the Dining Concourse at Grand Central Terminal, Stone Street in the Financial District, or Eataly downtown.

Can the itinerary change?

Yes, our one-day New York City itinerary may change due to weather, traffic, or availability, but your guide will be sure to give you a memorable and thorough NYC experience during your time with us.

Does the tour include the 9/11 Museum or the Statue of Liberty?

Due to time constraints, we won’t visit the 9/11 Museum or Liberty Island. The tour does visit the 911 Memorial and World Trade Center sites where your guide will share the history and stories of 9/11. We will also take the Staten Island Ferry to get a closer look at Lady Liberty and enjoy views of the skyline and Brooklyn Bridge.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand plans change. We offer a 100% refund or the option to reschedule up to 24 hours before your tour start time. Cancellations within 24 hours aren’t eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

When should I get there?

Plan to show up 15 minutes early. The tour starts promptly, and you may not be able to catch up if you arrive late.

What if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine. If there’s extreme weather and we have to cancel, you’ll get a full refund.

Are gratuities included?

Tips aren’t included but are always appreciated by our guides. If you think your guide did an outstanding job, a tip is a great way to show that.

Do you have gift certificates?

Yes! If you want to give the gift of New York (or any of our destinations) to someone else, you can purchase a tour gift card. Our gift cards are good for any of our tours, and they never expire.
