7. Catch live music<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Las Vegas is a destination known for attracting big-name performers. From Garth Brooks to Santana and Rod Stewart, the list of A-list residents is a long one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But if you look a little deeper, you\u2019ll find a thriving local music scene brimming with outstanding talent. There are many places to check out to find some fresh Vegas sounds and mingle with the locals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A local favorite is the Sand Dollar Downtown. A hidden gem for lovers of good music tucked inside the Plaza Hotel, it’s perfect for catching live performances and an awesome bar to fuel your night. You might even see some legendary musicians who often make it to the Sand Dollar. Bands that play here range from blues to rock to reggae or even synth wave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fun fact: <\/strong>The Sand Dollar is famous for hosting after-parties for some of the biggest touring artists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of East Fremont, you\u2019ll find the Usual Place, a fun bar, event space, and music venue. It\u2019s a good place to mingle with some friendly locals. Every second Wednesday of the month, Playful Pastimes is a fave place where musicians gather to jam together on stage. The night kicks off at 7 p.m. with board games, and the live music jam starts at 9 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the middle of the park, there\u2019s a stage for live music, a green courtyard, and a playground to entertain the kids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fergusons Downtown <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Fergusons is a city block of artisan shops, locally made treasures, live music, and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you like good coffee, Mothership Coffee Roasters<\/a> is the place to go. Fbar<\/a> often hosts rotating pop-up local chefs cooking up a one-of-a-kind menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Murals <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
East Fremont is covered in colorful murals by artists from all over, including famous international street artists and local muralists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every year, the Life is Beautiful festival comes to town, beautifying the walls with permanent art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Slonina Artspace <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Stop in and pay a visit to Slonina Artspace. This local art gallery showcases rotating exhibitions of local artists\u2019 work so you canbrowse or bring home a piece of Vegas that’s truly unique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
10. Experience a blast from the past<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
For a dive bar experience infused with history, Atomic Liquor is one bar you can\u2019t miss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Las Vegas legends like Hunter S. Thompson, the Rat Pack, and Baraba Streisand were known to frequent here. It\u2019s a dark and quirky bar with an explosive past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
How to get to Fremont Street<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Deuce bus is the most popular option. It drops you off in the middle of Fremont. It\u2019s an affordable option at $8 for a 24-hour pass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To park, you have a few options, but the Neonopolis Parking Garage is one of the best deals and is in the middle of Fremont Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
