The park has also been home to Barcelona Zoo since 1892.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights is<strong> <\/strong>Josep Fontsere\u2019s famous Cascada fountain, designed with the assistance of Barcelona\u2019s famous son Antoni Gaud\u00ed when he was a student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. It\u2019s a nice way to get an insight into the artist\u2019s formative years and is also a great option on the rare days when the weather isn\u2019t kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can get into the museum free on the first Sunday of the month, or between 5 and 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
