That all changed in 2015 with the extension of the 7 Train over to 11th Avenue and 34th Street. The easy access to the area suddenly made it more desirable. More and more people wanted to visit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This skyrocketed after the development of the Hudson Yards complex, featuring shops, residential buildings, public green space and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exp1.com\/new-york-tours\/climb-the-vessel-tour\/\">the towering architectural sculpture known as Vessel<\/a>. What seems like a simple structure from the outside is actually a labyrinth of stairways and platforms, giving visitors some of the best and most picturesque views in the city. It\u2019s now one of the most popular up-and-coming attractions in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this post, I\u2019ll share with you everything there is to know about Vessel and how to go about planning a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get to Vessel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.unsplash.com\/photo-1589967897496-1a0a251e02c5?ixlib=rb-1.2.1&amp;ixid=MnwxMjA3fDB8MHxwaG90by1wYWdlfHx8fGVufDB8fHx8&amp;auto=format&amp;fit=crop&amp;w=967&amp;q=80\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re coming by subway, there are two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Take the <strong>7 Train <\/strong>to 34th Street\/Hudson Yards<\/li><li>Take the <strong>A, C, or E Train <\/strong>to 34th Street and walk over from 8th Avenue. (It takes about 10-15 minutes.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Taking a cab?<\/strong> Tell the driver to drop you off at 10th Avenue and 33rd Street, near the Hudson River. It\u2019s modeled after Indian step wells, arranged like a giant jungle gym. The honeycomb design was created by British architect Thomas Heatherwick, with a final cost of a mere $200 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"blog_related\">\n\t<div class=\"title\">Related<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"content\">\n\t\t<p><b>Weird art: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exp1.com\/blog\/st-patricks-cathedral-what-to-see-at-this-nyc-landmark\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This American sculpture is 3x larger than Michaelangelo\u2019s.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s both an art sculpture and a functional structure, a combination of both attractiveness and practicality. You can enter the park right from Hudson Yards and walk all the way down to Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District. It\u2019s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon after visiting the Vessel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>High Line and Chelsea Walking Tour<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A hidden park and historic food hall in two trendy NYC neighborhoods. You\u2019ll find classics and well-known brands like Banana Republic, H&amp;M, Coach and Levi\u2019s.
