Since they were first conferred in 1949, the Emmy Awards strive to acknowledge the most outstanding contributions to American television each year. The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, September 17, 2018.

Given New York City’s vibrant arts community, it’s hardly a surprise to see that several New Yorkers have made it to this year’s list of nominees, which include some of the most highly respected actors and actresses of all time, as well as emerging talent.
